Interlibrary Loan Service

What is it?

Interlibrary Loan is a service provided for Ohio County Public Library card holders to obtain materials that the library cannot supply.

Who can use it?

Any patron in good standing (i.e. no fines, no grossly overdue materials, etc.) may submit an Interlibrary Loan request. You must have a library card to request Interlibrary Loan materials.

What is available?

Materials that the Ohio County Public Library has in its collection are NOT available for Interlibrary Loan. Any materials the library cannot supply are available for request.

What does it cost?

Interlibrary Loan materials are free; however, a $1.00 charge is requested to help offset return shipping costs. Overdue materials are subjected to a $1.00 fee for every day late.

How do I make a request?

Requests for an Interlibrary Loan material can be submitted using this form or in person at the library.

If you'd like the library to try to get a book, magazine or newspaper article, or any other resource for
you via InterLibrary loan, just fill out the form below with the item or article title, author/artist, and
publication and/or magazine/newspaper information. We'll let you know, via e-mail or phone, if we
can get it for you and when it you'll be able to pick it up.

of copyrighted material. Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy
or other reproduction. One of these specified conditions is that the photocopy or other reproduction is not to be "used for any
purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research." If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or other
